ATAGI recommendation on third dose for immunocompromised

COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for all people aged ≥5 years to protect against COVID-19. For most people, a primary vaccination course consists of 2 doses.

A third primary dose is recommended for people aged ≥5 years with severe immunocompromise.

Information for reporting a COVID-19 death

A new webpage has been developed to assist medical practitioners, including medical officers working in a public or private health care facility, general practitioners, and forensic medical officers, to complete a Medical Certificate of Cause of Death for COVID-19 cases and to identify whom to notify.

The Recording a COVID-19 death on a death certificate information sheet provides additional advice on what to record for patients dying with COVID-19, or from post COVID-19 condition (long-COVID).

ATAGI statement on defining ‘up-to-date’ status for COVID-19 vaccination

All individuals aged 16 years and over are recommended to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose to maintain an “up-to-date” status. This booster dose is now recommended from 3 months after the last primary dose.
