Order a resources packFrom Tuesday 16 November 2021, Greater Katherine and Robinson River in the Northern Territory (including surrounding homelands) were declared COVID-19 hotspots.
On Wednesday 24 November, the Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly, has extended the hotspot for Katherine until the 5 December 2021. Due to high vaccination rates and extensive testing in Robinson River, the hotspot for Robinson River and surrounding homelands expired on 24 November 2021.

Booster doses are not mandatory, however they are recommended to maintain immunity against COVID-19.

A booster dose is available to anyone in Australia aged 18 years and over who has completed their primary two-dose course of vaccination at least 6 months ago. Individuals remain fully vaccinated with the primary two-dose vaccination course and the booster is not mandatory.
A third primary dose is available as part of the primary course in individuals aged 12 years and over, who are severely immunocompromised, to address suboptimal or non-response to the standard two-dose schedule. These doses are provided as part of the primary course, they are not boosters.
