Order a resources packThe COVID-19 Omicron strain is now prevalent throughout Queensland. The Queensland Chief Health Officer (CHO) Dr John Gerrard said today that the Omicron strain now makes up 80-90 per cent of all new COVID-19 infections.
The Omicron strain is most prevalent in younger adults in the 20-30 age range as they are more socially active. A key message to young people is to be careful, social distance, mask up, stay in well ventilated spaces and if you feel any respiratory symptoms at all just assume you have COVID-19 and isolate.
